Expanding and accelerating biomedicial chemistry with high confidence computation and state-of-the-art molecular biology and biophysical experiments

From March 2022, the Czodrowski working group will move to the Department of Chemistry at JGU Mainz.
The Czodrowski working group deals with proton transfer in pharmaceutical relevant drug candidates. Here, a special focus is placed on thermodynamics and kinetics, so that principles and possible rules for the design of improved drug candidates can be drawn from this. In addition to experimental methods, modern approaches from artificial intelligence and data science are also used.

Methods

  • Isothermal titration calorimetry
  • pKa measurement by UV/Vis and potentiometry
  • Protein expression and purification
  • Molecular biology and protein crystallography
  • Python programming
  • Machine Learning
  • Tools development
